The founder, Dr. Teo Soleymani, MD, FAAD, FACMS, is a Stanford trained, nationally recognized and highly-regarded double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and former assistant clinical professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
California Dermatology and Mohs Surgery Specialists' state-of-the-art, university-affiliated practice offers the latest and most advanced surgical, cosmetic, and medical dermatologic care. The team specializes in the management of skin cancer and are world leaders in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Oncology, and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, as well as leading experts in Cosmetic and Medical Dermatology as well.
Prior to establishing California Dermatology and Mohs Surgery Specialists, Dr. Soleymani practiced as a full-time faculty Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at UCLA, where he was also the Director of the Pigmented Lesions and Melanoma Clinic, as well as Co-Director of Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship Education and Dermatology Residency Surgery Education.
During his tenure at UCLA, Dr. Soleymani received both local and national acclaim for introducing landmark and pioneering advanced surgical treatments for complex, high-risk, and challenging skin cancers at UCLA. He revolutionized the treatment of early invasive and in-situ melanomas of the head and neck, and pioneered the utilization of intraoperative immunostaining to optimize cure rates. His dedicated efforts to optimizing treatments resulted in tremendous improvements in patient outcomes and quality of care.
